Query the NCBI database PubMed for the number of entries that match the specified keywords per year. This tool might be used to survey the temporal development of publishing activity for a certain topic. Click on the screenshot below to start the program. (You need to have a Java Runtime Environment installed on your computer. Accept the certificate to allow Java Web Start to make a connection to the ncbi server.) Per default the program will search only the "Title" and the "Abstract" field. Use quotation marks to define your own queries (e.g.
"(stroke[AllFields]+OR+(heart[AllFields]+AND+attack[AllFields]))"). Leave the keyword field empty to count the total number of new publications per year.
